“ Food was amazing. Red beans extremely creamy. Okra fried to perfection. The garlic butter wedges have the perfect balance of garlic and crisp. The half fish poboy is huge. The fries are crispy outside and soft inside. The grill cheese is buttery and cheesy. The salad is really good with huge grilled shrimp. The roulade sauce is a bit different than Im used to but it was good. The brownie tower is huge. 5 people ate from one serving. Highly recommend. There is also outside seating with a balcony. Definitely a must try. ”
“ We were in town on vacation and wanted to try some good southern cookin. We found Nola and thought it sounded good. Kody, our amazing waiter, helped us get our food. We ordered gator bites for an appetizer they were the most tender gator bites weve ever had! My husband had the Kickin Chicken sandwich and fries with a side of red beans and rice. I had the Cajun Chicken and Sausage Pasta. Oh my goodness was it delicious! We would highly recommend Nola Southern Grill if youre in Slidell, LA! ”
“ The food here is fantastic as good or even better than the more fancypants restaurants in NOLA Proper and less expensive!. We ate here on our first night on a recent weeklong visit, and we liked it so much we came back a 2nd time at the end of our week. Gator bites and the jambalaya were particular favorites, as well as the oysters. ”
“ This place is absolutely delicious. Randomly stopped here and Everything exceeded expectation. Great oysters, one of the best roast beef sandwiches I ever had and great pasta. Def give it a try. Ill be back for sure ”
“ ive been here twice and the food was amazing both times! the crawfish was perfect! and our server Stephanie was so sweet! ”
“ Homestyle Nola food served with a smile. Great for the whole family. Very large menu variety without sacrificing quality. Love this place! Server, Stephanie is a sweetheart ”
“ We went here for lunch and got the 7.99 poboy special. The bread was soft and delicious. There were lots of fried shrimp and the dressing was excellent. I really liked the fact that it was a sixincher which suited my smaller appetite perfectly. For just .99 cents s more we got French fries. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you go to Cajun Encounters swamp tour, this restaurant is very close to the I10 interchange with 190. ”
“ Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere. My wife and I decided to stop here for brunch on our way from New Orleans and we were pleasantly surprised with the food and service. My wife had the chicken and waffles and I had the crab cakes with poached eggs. My wife had a mimosa. She said the mimosa was excellent. The chicken and waffles must have been good because this is the first time in a while my wife ate everything on her plate. The crab cakes were delicious. They were served on toast with spinach with the poached egg on top. Accompanied with hash brown casserole and cheese grits. It is delicious as it sounds. The hostess was friendly and attentive to us and all individuals. Midway through our meal, my wife noticed that chefs were preparing meals in area outside of the kitchen. You could heard them talking chef talk and you could smell the aroma of the food being prepared. This added a different level to the overall experience. I recommend NOLA Southern Grill if you are ever in the area. ”
